Om ossMoja Keramik
Moja Keramik was originally founded by sisters Amanda and Marielle in 2021 after a weekend course in pottery.
It was after a weekend of clay turning that sisters Amanda and Marielle became completely hooked on the world of clay. Despite being total beginners, they immediately took the step of buying a clay turning wheel.
After about a year of delving into everything related to the world of ceramics, they started holding small workshops in their then-workshop in Kullavik. Their workshops were a success and shortly afterwards they took the step of opening a larger studio in Majorna, Gothenburg.
Moja Ceramics Studio opened in January 2024 at Karl Johansgatan 55 and the studio is kept alive by members, course participants and events.
Marielle, with a background as a programmer and designer, began working full-time in the studio in the fall of 2024, while her sister Amanda took the step into working life in interaction design after several years of studies at Chalmers.
In the summer of 2025, Hanna (background as an AD) joined as a co-owner and since then the business has been run by Marielle and Hanna together with other employees and extra workers.
They are driven by the creative possibilities of ceramics and all the wonderful meetings with members, staff and course participants.
Going forward, the focus will be on our own collections and digital initiatives with a focus on ceramics to combine creativity with function.
