Turning, sculpting or painting?

Are you curious about ceramics and creating with clay but don't know where to start?

See what suits you best to start off on the right foot.

Get started with ceramics

You want a fun challenge and are not afraid of failure:
Try a spinning workshop! Spinning is fast-paced and fun but difficult. Come there with a good mood and reasonable expectations. Sometimes you have beginner's luck and sometimes it's muddy soup but absolutely worth it and a wonderful experience (which often leaves you wanting more).
Book a turning workshop .

You have a specific vision of what you want to create and are patient and meticulous:
Try hand building! At the table you can create most things and with precision and patience it can be really nice even if you are a total beginner.

You and your friends want to try something new and creative:
Go to "Lerig AW", unleash your creativity after work and create handmade ceramics together. Great for those of you who are complete beginners or have previous experience but want the support of an instructor. Make small bowls, sculptures, your own mug or why not a candle holder?

You and your friends want a fun and creative evening that's not too advanced:
You should try painting ceramics! We have lots of different things you can paint on and you don't have to be an artist to make something really cute. Simple patterns often turn out super nice and it's perfect for chatting and drinking something bubbly at the same time.

You have spun before and want to practice more in peace and quiet:
Book a place on our "Open Studio - Turning" classes where you, who know a little bit about the basics, can spend time at the turning wheel at your own pace, without an instructor present. You get 3.5 hours and unlimited clay to play with.

You want to experiment more with sculpture/handcrafting in peace and quiet (and maybe try out the lathe a little quickly):
Become a member for a day at our Open Studio! Where you can sit at the table the whole time or try some spinning and the urge comes over. Staff is on site for some simple tips and tricks.
